From a Cornish pub to a global brand: Sheltering in the pub from the dark depths of a Cornish winter, the seed of Mariner Jack was planted in my brain. I had the product, I’d been making it for years for myself and friends after all. That’s a lot different to marketing it and selling it though, would people pay above average prices for a great quality product in a time of cheap and cheerful products available anywhere? The short answer is yes, yes they would. Initial batches of products completely sold out within two weeks, so I went from full time to part time work to keep up. It still kept selling so I went full time on this wild adventure. Then Nat had to quit her job to help me keep up with demand. It seems to be working. Four years later, we kept selling more and more so we moved house to incorporate a new crafting room and warehouse.
